The Joy of Witnessing Growth

Recently I was guided to buy a couple of plants to take care of as part of my spiritual journey. I felt Spirit was guiding me into a position of nurturing another living thing. Having always loved plants, this was a welcoming idea.
The plants were suffering in the pots I had bought them in, so I transplanted and split them up into four plants. They needed to be cleaned, cut back, and I’ve been applying a treatment to deal with some disease they have.
Every morning, I make it a point to greet each one of the plants: to touch it, and to give it encouragement. This feels like a very mothering position that I’ve been placed in, and I’ve been anticipating seeing whether or not the plants would bounce back from the shock that they’ve gone through.

This morning, as I was greeting my plants, I looked closely and noticed tiny little new green shoots of growth. I was so overjoyed to see that those I have been caregiving are rejuvenating and gathering strength. I was overwhelmed by a very powerful emotional reaction, and in that moment of gratitude for my new plants’ success, an inner knowing came into my mind… a knowing that what I’m experiencing now, an elated sense of joy and gratitude for the well-being of another, is what Spirit experiences as they watch me grow and learn. It was such a powerful moment to experience myself as the giver of such a loving experience and also the receiver, all at the same time. I envision a beautiful loop of giving and receiving, nurturing and seeing the benefits of the care and attention that has been given to another.
To realize that I evoke such a strong response of love for my companions and guides as they help me along on my journey was a sacred moment for me. The light workers, my ancestors, all of those who have come before me and will come after me are all cheering me on. They are so happy for every little step that I take. There’s no need to feel bad about needing to rest or go dormant and need recovery. It is all a part of the growth process.
Isn’t it just wonderful to see those around us growing and learning? Isn’t it still so precious to know that we are children, learning and growing together through everything that seems so hard? It takes time, but we do bounce back from our experiences with strength to go on and rise higher and higher in our lives and in our hearts.
We are here to learn, and to go through the lessons that we need to go through in order to leave the old behind and reach new heights. It’s a beautiful thing to celebrate every little step as we go along.🌱🪴🌿
